Atlantic City's skyline has been defined by high rise casinos in the last 30 years. Now it appears that more groups are trying to change the skyline of Atlantic City just off the coast. Greys Harbor Ocean Energy Company out of Seattle is looking to push to create a wind farm off the coast of Atlantic City.
The Seattle based company is looking to build a wind farm about 10 miles off the coast. Their plan calls to generate 1,000 megawatts of electricity. The electricity would be generated from a combination of wind and wave power. The company sites Atlantic City as one of the prime areas to build this type of green power.

Revel Casino in Atlantic City is slated to have 3,800 rooms, 150,000 sq. ft. of gaming space, and 500,000 sq. ft. of dining and entertainment space. The casino is slated to cost over $2 billion and some estimates put its cost over $3 billion.

Stone Harbor made Business Week's Small Towns with Big Money list. Stone Harbor qualified for the list having a median home price of $968,209 according to Zillow.com. According to the Business Week list, Stone Harbor has a year round population of 1,039 and a median income of $51,471.
Stone Harbor's population swells to around 20,000 during the summer. Stone Harbor was able to qualify for the list since its year round population is below the survey's maximum of 10,000. For many, it is no surprise Stone Harbor was able to make the list.

Stone Harbor Bird Sanctuary Has Great Plans for 2009

On December 2nd, the city council of Stone Harbor passed a resolution to award a contract to build a tidal water pipeline. According to the Cape May County Herald, the pipeline is designed to restore wetlands and marshes at the Stone Harbor Bird Sanctuary.
The hope is the pipeline can aid nature in restoring the wetlands of the SHBS. Increasing wetlands is vital to a healthy population of herons, egrets, and the many species that inhabit the sanctuary. A great by-product of having the bird sanctuary located nearby is that it provides homes in Stone Harbor with an abundance of wildlife.
Sea Isle City Approves Liquor for Sidewalk Dining

In what should be a great move, the city council of Sea Isle City voted to approve liquor and beer consumption for sidewalk dining. Sea Isle City BYOB's and establishments with liquor licenses will now be able to permit patrons to consume alcoholic beverages at outdoor tables.
Until Tuesday night, Sea Isle City establishments were permitted to allow outdoor dining but not outdoor consumption of alcoholic beverages. The city council's ruling should definitely boost outdoor sales for Sea Isle's restaurants.
