Cape May County Campground: Seashore Campsites

Monday, August 9th, 2010 at 10:49am. 19 Views, 0 Comments.

Just got back from spending a great weekend at Seashore Campsites in Cape May.  It was definitely one of the nicest campgrounds, I have ever stayed in.  The filtered lake with slide was definitely my personal highlight.  Great place, friendly people, and located just minutes from the Cape May beaches.

"There was concern over my boys seeing behavior appropriate for a casino, but not appropriate for a child," said the 34-year old broker from Yardley. "A casino is an adult place."

The Wisniewskis' willingness to spend their vacation dollars in nearby Shore towns, but reluctance to take their…

Gillian's to expand Sea Isle City amusement park

By Brian Ianieri

SEA ISLE CITY - Gillian's Funland of Sea Isle City made about $400,000 in 2009, its first year in a coastal city that went without an amusement park for a decade, and the park's operators intend to add more rides this year.

"I'm just pleasantly surprised," said Jay Gillian, who also operates Gillian's Wonderland Pier in Ocean City. "I did hit all the numbers I planned to hit. I was very conservative."

The amusement park, which is located on a city-owned lot alongside a public waterfront on 42nd Place, opened in late June, nearly a month later than planned due to wet weather that delayed pouring the asphalt and concrete foundations,…

Here is an amazing story on UPI.com.

Woman amazed by bottle's 300-mile journey

CLAYMONT, Del., Nov. 30 (UPI) -- The woman who released a message in a bottle from the New Jersey coast as part of a contest 24 years ago has come forward to claim her prize.

Heidi Mozza, 30, of Claymont, Del., dropped the green soda bottle into the Atlantic Ocean in summer 1985 as part of a "Message in a Bottle Contest" in Ocean City, N.J., and the bottle was discovered recently in Duck, N.C., the Philadelphia Inquirer reported Monday.

Ocean City spokesman Mark Soifer said officials sought the owner of the bottle by sending social networking Web site messages to several people with Mozza's maiden name, Heidi Werstler.

"I just can't believe it finally surfaced after 24…
